If you are a UK tax payer, your donation can be
enhanced by ‘Gift Aid’. At no extra cost to you, the
Government allows Registered Charities (as we are) to reclaim 28p
for every £1 donated under this scheme (until 5th April 2011). If you pay tax at the
higher rate, you can also reclaim tax on your donation, the
difference between the 40% higher rate and the basic rate. To

Some typical costs:-
£500 will, with local labour, build a house for a
Widow and her family.
£20 will pay educational costs for a primary
school child for a year.
£3 will buy an insecticide-impregnated mosquito
net.
£12 will buy a pig for a family.
£8 will buy a goat.
£100 will pay educational costs for one year for
a Secondary School student -
and in addition there are many orphans, poor
children and sick people in Rwanda who need our help.
